Falconbridge is well recognized as a dependable supplier of quality nickel products. for over 20 years customer experience has clearly identified Falconbridge ferronickel as an economic charge material in the production of stainless steels, nickel alloy steels and foundry alloys. The low level of carbon, copper, phosphorus, silicon and sulphur allow Falconbridge ferronickel to be employed at virtually any stage of the heat.

The overwhelming preference for a versatile easy handling form resulted in Falconbridge developing the Ferrocone. Ferrocones are conical shaped, measuring about 38 mm in diameter and weighting approximately 135 grams.

They are an excellent choice for operations using automated materials handling system and continuous charging equipment. Usual packaging is 2000 kg bulk bags that can easily be handled by forklifts or other conventional lifting devices.

Consistency of analysis, shape and size and non-dusting qualities have all contributed to the wide acceptance of Ferrocones.

The Quality Management System for the production of all Ferronickel products at Falconbridge Dominicana Ferronickel refinery is ISO 9002 registered
