Frieda River is one of the world's largest undeveloped copper and gold deposits. The Company accelerated its exploration activities in 2004 and with the agreement of its partner, Highlands Pacific, the Nena deposit was included in the program. Subsequent drilling has encountered additional Nena-type high sulphidation mineralization on the property. The 2005 program includes collection of drill core for metallurgical test work aimed at characterizing the Nena ores and providing a basis for future mini pilot plant studies.
In keeping with the increased level of activity, the joint-venture partners have also stepped up the community affairs program including local business development, community health programs and facilitating regular coordination meetings between the local people, the joint venture and local and provincial government representatives.
