Kerr Sulphurets
Location: British Columbia, Canada
Stage: Exploration

Falconbridge has an option to earn 50% from Seabridge Gold Inc. in the Kerr  Sulphurets porphyry copper-gold project in British Columbia. The agreement includes the right to increase the ownership to 65% by completing a feasibility study.

The property is located in the Iskut-Stikine area about 20 kilometres from the Eskay Creek mine and 65 kilometres from the town of Stewart. Two of the mineralized zones on the property, the Kerr and Sulphurets zones, are better explored and there are at least five other targets that are less well known, comprising Iron Cap Zone, Main Copper Zone, Icefield Zone, Mitchell North Zone and the MacQuillan Zone.

In both the Kerr and the Sulphurets zones, there has been significant amounts of diamond drilling. However, no NI 43-101 compliant resource has been estimated by Falconbridge at this time.

The Kerr Zone has copper dominant mineralization which occurs within a geochemical anomaly and sericite-chlorite alteration over an area with about 3 kilometres strike length. The mineralization comprises pyrite, chalcopyrite, bornite, tetrahedrite and rare enargite.

The Sulphurets Zone is gold dominant, copper-gold system, that occurs as a zone of potassic alteration within an alteration and geochemically anomalous area of about 2.5 kilometres by 2 kilometres. The zone has pyrite, chalcopyrite and local molybdenum mineralization.

Since optioning the property, Falconbridge has completed programs of geology, rock sampling and geophysics. In the 2005 field season, a diamond drilling program has taken place.
