MIM's copper operations comprise:

• Mining and smelting of copper at Mount Isa, north-west Queensland, and refining at Townsville.
• Copper and gold mining at Ernest Henry, north-west Queensland, for smelting and refining at Mount Isa and Townsville.
• Copper and gold mining at Alumbrera (MIM 50%) in Argentina.
